Public Record launched with a gallery show at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s gallery at 937 Liberty Ave., on Friday, July 16 – as a part of the summer Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District.
The show included the launch of Public Record’s cell-phone technology, allowing visitors to experience the Public Record audio poems through a web-based iPhone app or through any standard text-message system.
It also included visual artwork by a host of Pittsburgh artists, inspired by Public Record poems. The show includes work by Christine Brill, Erin Brubaker, Jennifer Howison, Stacy Innerst, Christopher Kardambikis, Jonathan Kline, David Pohl, Jeffrey Schreckengost, Lisa Toboz, Wayno.
